Lead by values

Better in 3 designs and maintains this website to be welcoming and usable for as many people as possible—especially for a diverse audience that includes neurodivergent folks and people with different visual, cognitive, motor, and sensory needs. While this site may not be legally required to meet specific accessibility standards, we choose to follow widely accepted best practices for inclusive design, using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as a reference point.

Examples of inclusive design practices on this site

  • Clear headings and button labels to support easy wayfinding, including for screen reader users

  • Descriptive links so people know what they’re selecting without guessing

  • Purposeful alt text that helps screen reader users understand and enjoy important imagery

  • Consistent layout and content grouping to support scanning, magnification, and reduced cognitive load

  • Balanced typography (avoiding extreme size jumps) to reduce visual intensity and improve readability

  • High color contrast to reduce eye strain and support low-vision and color-blind users
